After graduating from Ziauddin Medical University a prominent medical university of Pakistan in 2008. Dr. Iffat was involved in specialties such as Radiation Oncology, Nephrology, Plastic and Cosmetic Surgery. Soon, she began her career in the corporate world by being at a top level position at Novartis Pharmaceuticals, one of the leading pharmaceutical companies. She loved her job as it allowed her to travel extensively but when she lost her child in premature birth, she realized how difficult it is for women to continue a full-time job while wanting a family. Hence began her affiliation with doctHERs. In her very own words, “doctHERs inspires me because I strongly believe that digital health is the future of Pakistan. In ten years I believe it will be the part of health care reforms. Telemedicine will be taught in medical and nursing schools, it will be a specialized field altogether.” In 2015 she represented doctHERs at Gist Tech I, Kenya where she got a life time opportunity of meeting Barrack Obama. In 2016, she travelled to the US to represent doctHERs at the MIT Entrepreneurship Program. She also took part in a renowned accelerator, Invest2Innovate.
